39. Have Meetings on Skype

A lot of business meetings are done over the phone, but you can ask your colleague or client if it can be done on Skype or Google Hangouts. Sometimes, this is beneficial because you can use screen share to show them what you’re working on. It also feels as though you truly did have a face-to-face meeting with someone even if they are on the other side of the world.

One of the biggest benefits of talking via video chat is that you can see the other person’s smile and facial expressions. It’s also easier to pick up on jokes or sarcasm as well. This feels a lot more like hanging out with someone in-person compared to a phone call.
